Altafy: A busy week of engagement with the events community!

Altafy's virtual booth at the Event & Tech Show 2020

September has been a busy month for Team Altafy as it continues to engage and support the events industry in Singapore.

Altafy was a proud sponsor of the Asia Professional Speakers Convention 2020, which took place from 31 August to 4 September.  Called “Write The Future”, this year’s edition was conducted fully online as a virtual conference.

On Day 3 of the event, Altafy’s CEO and Co- Founder Emma Hawker participated in a panel discussion titled, “Future of Learning & Development.” She shared her observations on how COVID-19 has affected the L&D landscape, encouraging employees to do more self-directed learning online, and paved the way for more virtual and hybrid events.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my five days of learning and sharing at “Write the Future”. It was a very well organised virtual conference, and there were many great sessions of relevance to both organisers, professional speakers, as well as business professionals keen on developing their public speaking skills,” Hawker said.

“The session on how speakers should be marketing themselves now provided some very insightful tips on how to refocus during these challenging times. As an entrepreneur, I enjoyed the session on “Thinking Like An Inventor.””

In the same week, Altafy also hosted a virtual booth at the Event & Tech Show 2020, a rising industry event that showcases the latest event innovations in the region.

A key highlight of the event which took place from September 2 and 3 , was the Virtual Living Lab Concept, a highly interactive setting that offered deep engagement with exhibitors, live product demonstrations, and tryouts.

“As an active player in this space, Altafy was thrilled to be a part of the Event & Tech Show 2020. The conference had a deeply immersive layout that made you feel like you were at an actual conference hall. I was really impressed by the opportunities for interaction in such a virtual setting,” Hawker said.

All in all, it was a very productive and engaging week for Altafy, as we continue to forge new relationships and share our knowledge with our industry peers.
